FAQ

We have buses ranging from 15 person capacity up to 40 person capacity. When making your reservation, please be sure to specify your group size so that we can reserve the correct bus for your event.

Our tours typically include 4 breweries. The itinerary is subject to change based on seasonality and availability. We reserve the right to make last-minute changes based on factors like weather, availability, or any other reason.

For all private tours, our guests can choose their destinations and coordinate as many stops as they like. The number of stops your group decides to make does not impact the cost of your reservation. Please work with one of our representatives to ensure we can accomplish everything your group wants to do.

Absolutely! We can pick your group up so long as you live within 75 miles of the region you will be visiting. For a private pickup, there is a convenience fee starting at $25 and varies based on your distance from our home base in Appleton.

Our clients have three tour options to choose from, all of which are based on geographic location (region) and time commitment. The easiest to secure your reservation is on our website using our booking software. The second option is you can call us directly and we can take your reservation over the phone. From there, you will be prompted to make payment in full. To accept any reservation without full payment upfront, a minimum of a $100 down payment is required for groups.

We have 2 booking options “Book a Seat” (aka pay per seat) which is great for smaller groups. However, we do require a minimum of 8 people if booking using this option.

Your other option is to book the entire bus (paying a flat rate). This would be considered a private tour and for a small fee, we can pick you up from any location. Private tours may also have the flexibility to choose their brewery stops.

Please note, prices may vary based on region, time of year, and miles traveled.

We serve all of Northeast Wisconsin and the surrounding areas. Our primary service area is Door County to Fond Du Lac and Manitowoc to Stevens Point and everything in between. However, many of our tours will take us all throughout the great state of Wisconsin. Check back frequently as our tour variety may change.

As of now, there are no breweries that offer free samples.

Please note, that these brewery tours are not about the free beer, they are about supporting the small businesses that are vital to our local economy.

Please note that all brewery tours are 5 hours. If your group goes more than 15 minutes over the reserved time, Wisco Wheeler/Ale Trail reserve the right to charge the credit card on file based on the amount of time that your party has gone over. Our standard hourly rate is $115/hr. Please note that going beyond the originally reserved time may cause us to be late for another reservation.

We keep it simple! We charge a flat rate per person or group, plus tax. And, we do expect that all our guests consider a minimum gratuity of 20%. However, we do charge a small travel fee if your pickup and or dropoff location is more than 20 miles or more outside of our location in Appleton or from your location to your destination (example: Oshkosh to Green Bay). In this event, we reserve the right to charge a minimum of $110/hr and rates can fluctuate based on the cost of gas.

Yes, we ask for a minimum of $100 down and a signed contract to reserve your date.

If your cancelation is more than 5-days hours in advance, you can either reschedule or receive 100% of your money back. Any type of no-show will result in a forfeit of your booking fee. No exceptions will be made for no-show reservations and reservations changes attempted less than 5-days in advance.

This all depends on the start time of your event and the time the selected breweries close. Most breweries close by 9 pm on weekdays and by 10 pm on weekends (at the very latest). If you are seeking a specific start time or end time for your event, please contact us so that we can accommodate the timing with our preferred partners.

Yes! We encourage our guests to support our breweries. You are welcome to bring anything you purchase on the bus. You may consume alcoholic on the bus. However, we strongly encourage everyone to drink responsibly.

Please note that you may NOT take open containers outside of the bus or outside of the brewery. Doing so is against the law and could be subject to a find from local law enforement.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks on board. Some but not all breweries serve food. If you are interested in eating at any of the breweries we stop at, please consider ordering ahead as we are extremely limited on time.

Please keep in mind that the beers that you will be sampling can be up to three times higher in alcohol by volume domestic beer. We want you to have a good time but if you become too intoxicated to the point of being disruptive to other bus passengers or brewery guests, you will be ejected from the bus and NO refunds will be given. This is a ZERO tolerance policy. If you get sick on the bus you will be charged up to $150 as a clean-up fee. Any damage you make at a brewery is fully your responsibility.

Our brewery tours will run rain/snow or shine. The only reason a tour may be canceled is if there is a Weather Warning or at the discretion of the owners if conditions are deemed unsafe. Either way, you will be contacted prior to your tour for rescheduling.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs on the bus.
